Free File Hosting Made Simple

We’re excited to officially announce the new MediaFire application for Facebook! The MediaFire application is a full integration of MediaFire’s file hosting and management tools for Facebook. It provides a true file hosting platform allowing for the upload and management of any file type with no storage limits. The application allows any Facebook user to connect their existing MediaFire.com account and share all of their existing files, or create a new account. As always, you have the ability to set files to private or password protected for an added level of security.

The MediaFire application provides a complete solution for file storage and hosting through Facebook including the ability to browse your friends files and post files to your profile. You can also see a list of recently posted files by your friends who also use the MediaFire application.

Once the application is installed it’s easy to post files and folders to your profile so that all of your Facebook friends can access them.

This is just a quick post to follow up the 300,000th user announcement. MediaFire has officially become one of the top 250 websites on the internet according to Alexa and is continuing to grow very rapidly with a 1 week average rank of 175. That’s more than a 55% increase over the past 3 months.

The MediaFire infrastructure is keeping up very well with the current rate of growth and we’re working on some cutting edge technology that should further increase page load speeds in anticipation of a few upcoming features. More on that soon!
