200,000 Members Strong and Growing!
Hey all,
This is a quick update to announce that today marks another milestone for MediaFire. We have just officially welcomed our 200,000th member! We’re excited that so many people have already adopted MediaFire as their file hosting solution especially since we announced our first 100,000th member less than three months ago. Despite the pleasant surprise of reaching this goal nearly two months earlier than we expected, we’re still working hard to bring MediaFire a whole new set of features which have also just been released into a private alpha test.
This weekend we’ll be implementing more small tweaks around the site to further accommodate for these new features and to keep pace with this phenomenal growth. There will also be a rolling maintenance period this evening between 8:00PM and 12:00AM (CST) which may result in a short period of down time for the site as we bring more servers online. With these changes and new hardware in place the increase in download, upload, and general page loading speeds should be significantly noticeable.
Thanks again everyone, especially to all of those who have been sending us their insightful feedback! We couldn’t do it without you.

Hope the unlimited files / space can continue in near future for registered users and no expiry of links … but maybe too much to ask for
Do implement some ads etc, might help.

I am so impressed!!!! This is the best site. This site is gonna blow the others out of the water. Or at least out of their top spots. There is one that many people are slaves to, because they have paid memberships. I am one of them. The downloads and uploads are faster here. Its very easy. I love it! Keep it like it is. Only maybe you could change the file size to something larger for PREMIUM accounts. People will pay for that. But you have to offer something extra. I love the fact you can download more than one thing at a time. I can’t say enough. I just love it! You should leave it like that, not everyone can afford a premium. I got the RS account as a gift. But like I said when that is up. I would pay for a premium here with bigger file sizes. I am telling everyone I know.

I think mediafire is the best free file hosting in the world,It’s very fast and steadable,it’s the really free service!

this is the first time i used your site to upload some of my stuff and i am very impressed with the results. i hope that you would still continue to make your site a “free” one instead of having a premium account where you need to pay extra for the service.
if that time comes (where you need to pay extra), what i could suggest is just to have added fearures to it (e.g. bigger files to upload, more files to download at the same time, etc.)
anyway, it’s just a suggestion but with the overall service that i got from you, i am very much satisfied.

hey, i just wanted to say that I LOVE the site and I use it every chance I can get. Is a premium service in the works? I would definitely pay monthly for that!

theres an other improvement you can do is add a search bar to search for files on your site.would be really usefull.

I really appreciate the upload gauge - nice to know something’s actually happening while I wait. Also the clean design of the site for end users to download from - no nasty ads for my clients.
I’m looking forward to more options and to see what a paid or premium account can offer.

Great stuff! I love Mediafire’s services. Unlike Rapidshare or Megaupload, the no-waiting no-limit features are awesome! Projects I need to back up are all on MF servers, nice and clean. Great job guys, and keep up the good work!

hi people u r really doing good but u should provide some platform where we can find links to download files instead only by providing by someone that wd be a lot helpful
what about a forum or a database search utility
